Thanks, link spammer.
Also, "Constant Interface" is an anti-pattern. See Effective Java 2E, Item 19 ("Use interfaces only to define types").

I disagree. Thank you for your opinion though.

Given that it's the opinion of the person who runs the forum to which you are posting, you would do well to reconsider.

Jeepers. They're everywhere.

you gonna scare her away geez....

Oh yeah; maybe you're right. We wouldn't want the sexy girl to get frightened away. We must do the best we can to retain the company of any sexy girl that graces us with her presence. We know sexy girls get all the help Java nerds can offer. Heck, we're happy to do her work for her, just because she's a sexy girl. That's how it works, right?

Oh, gee, I just noticed: It's Friday! I sure hope the sexy girl isn't late for her assignment!
Gee, Tasha, only the really, really sexy girls get help from Java nerds. The sexier you are, the faster you get help. Because, after all, it's all about sex, isn't it?

Overly simple explanation: the JVM will know to collect an object when it is no longer accessible by the code. Example:
I'd also add that in almost all circumstances, it's also a bad idea. Reflection can be abused to break encapsulation, which is one of the fundamental principles of good OOP and design.
Just as an FYI, you've still got Struts listed under webapps (which might be the appropriate place for it). I don't know if you planned to have listed for two separate forums...
DO you think it might be useful to post Yawmark's List-O-Java-Links you see every 3 threads on other boards as a sticky in the New To Java section?

LOL. What, you think I'm overdoing it?
Have you considered a forum for frameworks that may crosscut or somewhat separated from the current topics? For example, I've been diving into the Spring framework, which is an app framework not tied to webapps or appservers, and Hibernate (which I *love*) is an abstraction of JDBC.

I don't have any questions *yet*, but if I do, I'm not quite sure where to go with them...
Nice look. Open source helps a bunch, too...
