I'm not sure if this is a problem on my end, but it seems that i have to constantly press the refresh button to see new stuff.

For instance:
On the Forum Index, I’ll see a highlighted topic indicating a new post. When I navigate into the thread with the new post, I’ll need to hit refresh to see the latest post.

Again, I’m not sure if this is U.S.E.R. error or something on JForums end.

Thanks,

I do have to refresh to see any new posts on the main page. But once I go into a forum I can see what posts are new. Do you know if you're coming through a proxy? The correct HTML headers seem to be set on the page (no-cache and expires) but perhaps something else is going on.

destin has requested that the "ping" that currently happens every few minutes include a refresh so that you can see new messages when the ping happens. I'm still working on that one.

Thanks for using the forums at hotjoe.com
