I thought about that as well

The Op is going to have to add a check to "go back to the beigning" ie making Z = C but that's for him/her to figure out.

For some reason I'm not a fan of using hashtables. I think it's because i always hated writing them then in college (in C++) so i try and avoid them as often as possible

Run through this link tutorial for a general overview of java. Pay close attention to how to create a class and a method. Afterwards, take another shot at

the "Create an encrypt method that takes a string parameter and returns a string"

For now, just have your method return the string "This method encrypts a string" and we'll get to the encrypt method later.
