Hello, Don't know wether you can help me or not but have downloaded the latest version of Java and nox red 'X's' appear on every Java applet i try to access.

The Sun Java Console says this:

All Java applications did work before until I updated it now red 'X's' are everywhere! Please Help!

It looks like something isn't loading properly from the server. Have you recently added a firewall or virus checker that would prevent Java applets from loading correctly?

Otherwise (and I hate giving this answer because it sounds like I work for Microsoft Support) you may need to uninstall and reinstall Java. Perhaps something didn't quite work right. Do you know what version of Java worked for you before?

Thanks for using the forums at hotjoe.com

Right... Just uninstalled and reinstalled and still got the same message and the same red 'X's'. And I think the previous version was Java 4 but not 100% sure to be honest.

EDIT: Actually does anyone have a link to download any previous versiions of Java and hopefully that might work,

Is the HTML file on the local machine or from a server?

EDIT: Found a previous version of Java and it is so far working smoothly! Thanks for your help!
